Australian Road Covers Pty Ltd is a fully Australian owned grate and access cover manufacturer selling both wholesale and retail. We are a Quality Endorsed company having been in operation for 30 years.
We are one of the few manufacturers of mild steel access covers, grates and frames, and trench grates and frames in Australia. We can build to any specification and all products come with a galvanised or black enamel finish. Our products can be designed and manufactured in accordance with Australian Standard AS 3996-2019 and indeed a number of Melbourne's local councils' have commissioned us to design bike proof grates to their requirements
We specialise in large multipart covers, retention pit and grease trap covers, used in commercial and industrial applications alike.
Design Specifications
Classifications for our standard access covers, inspections covers and frames, road grates and frames are as follows:
LIGHT DUTY
Products for use on footpaths only. Not suitable for vehicles
MEDIUM DUTY
Products for use in areas normally reserved for pedestrian and only occasionally open to vehicles for delivery or cleaning purposes or in an emergency.
HEAVY DUTY
Products for unrestricted use in the carriage ways of arterial and other roads which may carry fast moving heavy vehicles.
It should also be noted that Australian Road Covers can manufacture access covers and grates and frames to comply with AS3996-2019 and we have had our covers independently tested.
We have certification to Management AS/NZS ISO 9001:2015.
